The Graduate School would like to help young researchers at the Université Paris Cité to implement their scientific and training projects. The aim of this call for applications is to provide financial support for projects and actions that will help structure their research work. Doctoral students must apply for funding before June 30, 2025.

The Society and Health Graduate School of the Université Paris Cité brings together students in the humanities and social sciences whose main field of study is health. It aims to encourage multidisciplinary approaches to the study of our healthcare system, as well as training through research.
Eligibility
The grant is intended for doctoral students at Université Paris Cité who are working on a thesis topic directly related to the Graduate School. This financial support can be used to cover expenses incurred during the academic years 2025-2026, such as :
- The organization of scientific events in France open to Université Paris Cité students: colloquia, congresses and study days.
- Participation in a paid training course (for which there is no equivalent offered within UPCité), including travel or accommodation expenses.
Procedure
Doctoral students must apply for funding before June 30, 2025 on the Graduate School’s Moodle page (Registration key: GS_S&H).
The application must include :
- A CV
- A description of the project for which funding is requested. The request must be justified, explaining how the project submitted for funding fits in with the candidate’s doctoral research (maximum two pages).
- A description of the budget requested, with associated estimates and, if applicable, a list of any other support the project may receive.
- A letter of recommendation from the thesis supervisor.
If you are awarded a grant from the Graduate School Society & Health, published works should explicitly mention this support, using the following sentence: « This work was funded by the French government through the France 2030 investment program (ANR-20-SFRI-0013) and supported by the Graduate School Society & Health, Université Paris Cité » or in French « Ce projet a bénéficié du soutien de l’État au titre du Plan d’investissement France 2030 (ANR-20-SFRI-0013) et de la Graduate School Society & Health d’Université Paris Cité ».
For scientific publication, an electronic version should be sent to the Graduate School Society & Health and the Graduate Schools team (pauline.chauvin@u-paris.fr ; bernard.andrieu@u-paris.fr ; smarts-up.sfri@u-paris.fr).
